Jeff CurtainManagement Team - Jeff Curtin

Jeff is Sko-Die’s Customer Service Manager and is responsible for making sure that every customer order is given individual attention from receipt to shipment and delivery.  He believes the customer experience must be positive and that communication is the key factor in a customer’s trust in Sko-Die.  Ask him about any new order and he will outline scheduling.  Ask him about any current order and he will know the status.  Ask him about any special requirements and he will find a solution.

Jeff began his career at Sko-Die in 1981 and learned the metal stamping business from the bottom up.  His experience included the positions of tool and die maker, tool and die designer, production manager and plant manager.  He also obtained knowledge of order entry, inventory control, lean manufacturing and contract review.  He credits this experience for his understanding of how an order is affected as it passes through any department.

One of Jeff’s favorite parts of his job is helping a customer develop their ordering procedures and general supply chain management.  He likes the personal touch with every customer and is proud of the friendships he has developed over the years.  When a customer visits Sko-Die he is happy to give the company tour, explain each department’s function and introduce the employees who share Jeff’s dedication and attention to detail.

Jeff believes that the future of the metal stamping industry is dependent on developing the talent pool of new die makers, machinists and machine operators.  To assure there are enough candidates for these increasingly high tech positions Jeff volunteers his time as the Vice Chairman of the Metalforming Education Committee for the Tooling and Manufacturing Association (TMA).

Jeff has been married to Betsy for 30 years, has three children and his favorite activity is bicycling where he is an avid pro race fan and has participated in numerous amateur races.
